How can a person be deemed innocent until proven guilty (Australia)?
Q. How can a person be deemed innocent until proven guilty (Australia), if they are put into remand until their court date? Doesn't this contradict "innocent until proven guilty"? Shouldn't the accused be free until their set court date?

A. It s a theory in place to have a fair unbiased trial; a person must be proven guilty in the U.S courts thus placing the burden on the accusers/prosecutors to win the jury. In other countries people are guilty first and have to prove their innocent thus placing the burden on the accused and that makes it harder to win a jury that has a negative disposition or presumption that the individual is guilty from the start. In the U.S the accused have the option of paying bail or bail can be denied only if the accused is a risk but that is determined by a judge at the bail hearing.

What Kind of an income is deemed Highly Respectable?
Q. I believe enything over 100k is deemed highly respectable. Lets face it the world is always judging. You can't help the fact that we do judge people on what job they practice.

A. yea over 100k and you're a small timer. rich looks at u like a tool of businss while poor looks at you as one of them - cos ur used by businesses. So i gues ur in the middle. if u earn like 300k ul be more respected by managers etc but less respected by poor the higher u earn the higher respect ul get from the upp and more disrespect from the poor if u know what i mean. its a balancing act -- depends who u wanna please.

What should be the minimum % profit after all expenses for a business to be deemed successful.?
Q. We have been selling on the Internet for about 5 years, mainly our own brand. We have reached a plateau at 750K/year. Although all expenses are covered including salaries, there is very little net profit left over at the end of the year. What would be considered a resonable net profit percentage for most companies? Also, should a company show net profit to be deemed successful?

A. what does the owner's salaries represent as a percent of sales? - that would really be considered part of the profit . If your salaries are 100,000 on 750,000 of sales and all your bills, payroll and income taxes are paid and you still have profit AND cash, I'd say you're doing pretty good - How many hrs per yr do you work and what does your pay per hour come out to? Is it a figure you're happy with?
